UN warns Ethiopia’s conflict could spiral into a civil war
The conflict in Ethiopia’s Tigray region could spiral into a civil war.
That is the warning from the UN Security Council, which has met, as rebels threaten to march on the capital Addis Ababa.
Government forces have been battling them for a year, but the UN is calling for an end to the fighting and urging dialogue.
